There will be a series of information events at the Johnson
City Gander Mountain facility.

February 12, 10 AM - 7 PM

Professional Ice Fishermen and Guides,  Shawn Hayes (Pro Staffer/Professional for several major Ice Fishing Manufacturers, & Owner/Operator Ice Adventures & Fish Whisperer Guide Service, Lake Champlain, VT, 802-265-8285 & 802-558-1036), & James Vladyka (Guide for Ice Adventures Guide Service, and has competed with Shawn in qualifiers for North American Ice Fishing Circuit, NAIFC and  has qualified for championship), will answer questions about Ice Fishing and help you outfit yourself for the Derby. 

George and Cheryl Dovolos (20+ Years affiliation with fishing programs for kids in NYS, Registered SAEREP fishing instructors, Ice Team Powersticks, Vexilar Prostaff, & Jason Mitchell Prostaff) will also be on hand to answer all questions Vexilar and give tips for the derby. 

February 13th @ the Derby 8 AM to 3 PM
Ted Nead (Gander Mountain fishing department) & Gander Mountian are pleased to present Shawn Hayes, James Vladyka, George and Cheryl Dovolos, and RJ Yurecka who will provide a kids Clinic and give On-Ice Demonstrations of ice fishing techniques. They are there to make your ice fishing experience enjoyable and memorable.  They will help you setup and drill your holes if needed!
